Implementation of two-sided marketplaces is always difficult, so there are a number of things to be mindful of. Developing the network effect of referrals from the community (candidates and referrals) will be a bit of work. The HR/Recruitment market is saturated.
Our Story
High-level:
I started Mahired with a developer as a side project a few years ago and we amicably parted ways last year due to his time availability. I’ve since worked with a developer (who the previous cofounder can 100% vouch for) for any dev support. I’ve now pushed the company as far as I can as a solo founder and now looking to join forces within someone to properly get the business off the ground.
Last month I did a little cold outreach to understand the market sentiment for the platform and have been surprised by the interest shown in it. So rather ploughing full steam ahead (learned from previous business scars) look to team up with someone to implement more effectively. Now I know there is interest there, it’s just a matter of finding the right person to work with to get it going.
